Gridlight privacy policy

Gridlight is a block puzzle from the developer listed on the App Store and Google Play. The game can be played offline. This note says what leaves the device when you turn on a reminder, buy something, watch an optional ad, or save to the cloud.

On the device

Scores, settings, the daily streak, coins, and the “Make code” backup stay on the phone unless you choose a feature that sends them. Uninstalling the app removes that local copy.

Reminders are scheduled on the phone. Gridlight does not run a push server and does not upload your reminder time.

Purchases

Coin packs, Remove Ads, and the starter bundle are sold by Apple or Google. After you buy, the app sends the store receipt to Gridlight’s verification service so the game can grant the items and notice a refund. The service stores the transaction id, the product, and whether the purchase is still valid. It does not receive your Apple ID, Google account, or card number.

Prices shown in the shop come from the store.

Ads

Ads are optional. A rewarded video starts only after you tap, and it can revive a classic game or double the coins from that game. The AdMob reward is amount 1, item “Reward”. The game decides which of those two gifts you get from the button you tapped.

An interstitial can appear on Play again, and only after you have finished a few games. Remove Ads turns those off. A revive is then free.

On iOS, Gridlight asks before it uses an identifier to make ads more relevant. The puzzles work the same if you say no. In the EU, UK, and where Google’s consent form applies, the form runs before an ad request. Google may process advertising identifiers, coarse location, and diagnostics under Google’s own policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Development and preview builds request Google’s test ads. Store builds request the live AdMob units.

Cloud save

Cloud save is optional. The app creates a random device id, the verification service returns a signed token, and that token is how later saves are recognised. The save is the game file already stored on the device, up to 256 KB. If the phone and the cloud disagree, the game asks which copy to keep. Purchases already granted on the device are not replaced by the cloud file.

Settings includes Delete my cloud data. That removes the cloud copy and the device account. Purchase records stay as anonymous transaction ids so a refund can still be matched, and they are no longer tied to the device.

Sign in with Apple is not available yet.

If the service address is not configured, cloud save and purchase checks do nothing and the game keeps working offline.

What we do not collect

Gridlight does not ask for your name, email, or age. In-app analytics events stay in memory on the device until a separate analytics project is attached. That project is not attached in this build.

Contact

Use the support contact on the App Store or Play listing. To stop ads, use Remove Ads or decline the tracking prompt. To stop reminders, turn them off in Settings.
